As promised, here are just a few more new examples of what you could write on your PostSecret cards: Ashley: I’m not as confident as people think. I throw up before every show.
Spencer: I don't let Ashley know that I sing and write songs because I don’t want to infringe on her dream. Spencer: I’m terrified that my mother will turn against me all over again. Chelsea: Painting used to be my dream. Now all I can paint is my nightmares. Sean: Every time I hear a car backfire, I think it's a bullet firing. Glen: I wish I met Ashley before my sister did. Spencer: I’m still afraid of what my mother really thinks of me. Carmen: I’m jealous of Spencer and her family. It reminds me of what I can never have. Ashley: Sometimes, I wish my mother was like Paula. Showing anger is better than being ignored. Click here and here to see the cards/examples made for the first PostSecret mailing. To get you even more inspired, click the article title to see e a bunch of examples I made for this round from other ideas we brainstormed. I had a lot of fun making these, and some serious time with Photoshop!
When you've made your own, and want to see them here, just send us the links and we'll post them up for everyone to admire your creative genius! Keep checking bacj for when new card sets are added, Remember, you have until May 16th to send your cards, so that’s plenty of time to ponder over what you’re going to make, and what secrets you’ll reveal … Get working people! Yes, you heard right! After the huge success of the first series of PostSecret cards, we decided to resurrect them as part of a new scheme of mass mailings to coincide with the launch of our second phase of campaigning, and our all new sister site, Spashley 101. Just like in round one of the mass mailing campaign, we want you to make your very own PostSecret postcards, either sharing your own son related secrets or sharing the secrets of characters from the show. On the back of the postcard, write one reason why you love South of Nowhere and one reason why it should stay on The N. Remember, try to be as positive as you can, if they don't know already, the network need to realise what they stand to lose when the third season comes to an end. You'll have until Friday, May 16th to send your cards, as this time around, postcard themes will be in effect for three weeks each, so you'll have plenty of time to share you're creative genius with us all. The mailing campaign is still primarily aimed at The N; after all, we don't want them to forget about us, do we? But, if you do want to send some to Tommy as well, well that's fine too. Just as a reminder, any packages you mail from now on do not need to contain any compasses or labels; we think that they've made a big enough splash with the bosses for now. Send to: The-N Attn: Programming 1633 Broadway, 7th Floor New York, NY 10019 If you're sending one to Tommy: Tom Lynch Company 9100 Wilshire Blvd. Suite 345, East Tower Beverly Hills, CA 90212 As usual, we'll be posting ideas of what you could write and examples you can print out if you're in a creative drought after all that writing. When you've created yours, feel free to send them to us so they can be posted for all to see. Click here and here to see the cards/examples made for the first PostSecret mailing. OK, so I said I was going to re-design savespashley.com. And look, I did :) So I'm not finished with yet. I have some exciting things to do still. (Such as add a calendar). But seeing as how it's almost 2 AM and I need to get up in a few hours to go to my ACTUAL place of employment, I'm going to stop right here. Needless to say, if you find that there are odd things going on... or you can't find something that you once new the path to by heart because you visit so often... well sit tight. I'll get everything straightened away tomorrow evening. (Or I should probably say THIS evening.) So sign up, log in, and send me a comment to let me know what you think! Save Spashley! All of us want to do our share to help boost South of Nowhere's ratings while the show is re-running and even more importantly when the new episodes arrive in the fall. But, what can we do when it’s not airing?! Well, actually we can do more to boost those all-important ratings figures than you’d think. Traditionally, audience ratings were taken from Nielsen boxes alone, which not all people have fitted in their homes. This still counts because Nielsen now have a direct connection to cable boxes, so all of those viewers can be counted too. In addition to watching on your TV, there are many more ways you can access and contribute to the shows ratings score while it isn't broadcasting such as: Streams to cell phones – if you're with Verizon, they have show content currently running on their Vcast service including episodes and other clips. Online airplay – like The Click and iTunes. Every time you use iTunes to download or even view South of Nowhere you’re raising its rating; downloads are measured on how many downloads are made and how many times the download is played.
The key thing to remember is, how ever and wherever you watch the show, be it season one, or season 3, it all counts in the end - literally. Lets show them how much we love Spashley! Source: Nielsen Write Comment (1 comments) |

Hey everyone, I am thrilled to share with all of you the results of our We Can Go Anywhere compass campaign. They're better than anything we could've possibly imagined and we have YOU to thank for it! - There were an estimated 200,000 compasses sent in to the N! Wow!
- We raised over $1,700 for the campaign and used almost $1,200 of it!
- We just donated $578.60 to SIDS ES in honor of South and the Save Spashley campaign.
Pat yourselves on the back, guys! This is an AMAZING turn out! Every donation, whether it was $2 or $200 made an impact that will not be forgotten. I have no doubt that this campaign left a huge, indelible mark on the-N. Without this campaign and other Save Spashley campaigns, we would be almost halfway through the episodes now with no final webisode or future material to look forward to. As it stands now, we have the eight episodes waiting, TWO new webisodes coming, and we've been promised a variety of other South-related material from the-N. The show will also be aired at a much more lucrative timeslot which will hopefully pull in more viewers, increase ratings, and help the network rethink their decision. While this is all great news, believe me when I say the fight is far from over. We need to fight all summer long to get people interested in the show and invested in the characters. Tell your friends to check out Spashley101 for a quick intro to all things South. Get them to watch a couple episodes on the Click. Join one of our upcoming street teams and pass out fliers and other South material at concerts or Pride events. There's so much to do, folks, and we need everyone of you to help us! We're fighting and uphill battle and, frankly, I'm shocked and delighted at just how much ground we've gained so far. Time is on our side, so let's keep fighting and SAVE SPASHLEY! Hey folks, Here's your chance to spend an evening at a Fair Fund event hosted by Gabrielle Christian - for only $15! Fair Fund is an international non-profit that battles human trafficking, sexual violence and domestic abuse. Save Spashley has no affiliation with this non-profit organization or this event. We simply wish to support Gabrielle - and all South of Nowhere cast members - in their projects outside of the show. Write Comment (0 comments) |
