First things first, clicky here to download 316, It's a pretty big file, so I hope those connections are up to it!

Second, Mandy Musgrave braved another chat with Seth and Mary, click to listen.

Third, the votes are in for South's 'Moments to Remember,' check out the compilation I made below. It's full of Spashley goodness, including the longest (and hottest) Spashley kiss ever recorded, and Spencer's trenchcoat moment!

Click the article title to see those and extras clips from the episode ...

Feeling low, fellow Spash loverrs?  I have something to cheer you up!

I emailed Tom Lynch on Firday, and he shared with me that episode 310, Spencer's 18th Birthday, has been Nominated for a WGA (Writer's Guild of America) award.  The nominees are put forward for 'outstanding achievement' in their field.

Congratulations to episode writer Arika Lisanne Mittman, and all the South of Nowhere cast and crew!

I think you'll all agree that the episode was a wonderful one, not least because watchimng Paula step up and defend Spencer againsst Grandma Carlin showed how much she had changed since the days of eviciting young ladies called Ashley from her house by her hair!

The winners will be honoured in ceremonies held in LA and New York on February 7, 2009.  Keep your fingers crossed for them!

316 Airs Tonight
Written by Spashleyrules!

Today is the day, Spash fans.  The bittersweet moment, along with a post I've never wanted to write.  Alas, here it is.

It's a day of mixed emotions for us all, but, hang in there OK.  There are many avenues of dicussion if you need to. Feel free to leave comments and thoughts below if you'd like to.  It's important to express how you're feeling today.  Even if you think it's silly, it's not.

Back to business ...

Tune in tonight at 8 pm (ET) for a whole hour of South to see how it all plays out, plus, the two post 316 webisodes will (hopefully) be on The Click after the episode airs.  If you miss the first airing you can catch it later on at 11 pm (ET) and, if you're still awake, at 2:30 am (ET).

The airing schedule over the weekend looks like this:  314-316, runs from 12 pm 'til 2pm (ET) on Saturday, December 13.  On Sunday, December 14, ep 316 gets another airing at 12 pm (ET). For details of more reruns into next week, check out The N's schedule.

On a lighter note, Afterllen have given us a bunch of South goodness to mark the day wiith:

Firstly, Dara posted her interview with the lovely Miss Musgrave, click here to read and comment to show Dara and Mandy some love.

Secondly, Jenn and Dee give us their recap on Taking Seconds.  Comment back and tell them of their awesomeness!

Last but not least, Gabrielle and Maeve are among the contributors to a new GLAAD PSA, click here to watch it.

Since I'm writing this post, I'd like to say a little bit, since it seems today is a lot about reflection.

My time working for SaveSpashley has been overwhelming, surprising, sometimes very difficult, and sometimes, like today, it's incredibly sad.  It's been a long journey since we found out about the cancellation, but I can honestly say whatever coimes next for the show or the completely awesome cast and crew that bought it to life, I'm glad I was a part of this.  Most of all, I'm glad of the support we received from you guys.  Some days, it's no lie to say that's all that kept us going.

If you're still reading this, thank you.

Ha, see what I did there?!  It's a bit of a cheat though, since not all of it is related to The N, but most of it is.  I know I usually post a round up of links in my episode posts, but they didn't really fit, so they got one all of their own!

If you're in need of something to stave off the sadness at 316's arrivial, then there's lots for you to click your mouses on:

Following her interview with Gabrielle Christian last week, AfterEllen's Dara Nai will be interviewing the other half of Spashley, when she chats with Mandy Musgrave.  Keep checking AfterEllen throughout the week.

There are majorrrr doses of South to be watching across the week on The N from 11 am all the way until 3 pm (ET) Hurrah!  For details on episodes, check out The N's schedule here

Head over to The N's South page and vote for your favourite episode in their latest poll

Seth and Mary's podcasts with cast members continues as they chat with Ma and Pa Carlin, a.k.a Maeve Quinlan and Rob Moran

If you haven't seen it yet, click here and feast your eyes on the awesome that is Showbizzle. In addition to being a social network style community for you join,  rate, and create content, there's also a webseries created by South peoples Charles and Lindsay Rosin. You'll spot some very familiar faces along the way including Eileen Boylan, Aasha Davis, Austen Parros and Brooke Vallone to name a few.  There's tons of videos to catch up on!

Next Time on SoN ... 316

There's no iTunes link this week, since episode 315 hasn't been added yet.  Hopefully, this will be resolved soon.  Depriving us of South iTunes, not cool!

Equally not cool, is the fact The N snuck in a Degrassi Mini, so the episode really began at 7:05  Nice touch!  I think they're sneaking another in on Friday, but instead of running the risk of losing precious minutes of South, maybe mute until 8:05!

How about we all send collective awesome vibes, maybe they'll a) show the webisodes on TV, or b) put them on iTunes like they did with the retrospectives.  Hello HQ!

If you haven't seen the episode yet, it's definitely not a good idea to click on the title and watch the newest clips playlist, but, one of them does contain a snippet for the already infamous, Spashley Ever After/Five Years Later webisode ...

315 Airs Tonight!
Written by Spashleyrules!

Don't forget to watch The N tonight at 7 pm (ET) to catch the latest episode of South. entitled 'Taking Seconds.' It certainly looks like there's going to be some old skool Madison and Ashley happenings.  Given what happened last time during their locker room throwdown, I hope Spencer's around to play bodybuard/buffer/ref!

I have no clue what that title means, but it did give me a random season one flashback to Ashley's famous grace prayer at the Carlins dinner table.  I assume that the 'seconds' being taken here are of the chances variety, and not Mr C's culinary delights!

If you miss the ep, because of it's rather strange time shift, then you can catch it again later on at 10 pm (ET), or at 1:30 pm (ET) on Saturday, December 6 or 12 pm (ET) on Sunday, December 7.

It seems that after all the years of protesting, South will finally get a marathon - of sorts - this weekend.  Today, after the first airing of 315, you can catch up with 3B (episodes 310-314) during the hours of 7:30 and 12 pm (ET) when South hijacks The N! Oh yes Spash fans! It is so.  Saturday and sees a smaller bactch of 3B reruns with 312-314 airing from 12 pm (ET).  Last but not least, Sunday's  dose is dedicated to some seriously angst-ridden Spashley circa season two.  You can re-live episodes 209-211 from 12:30 pm (ET) onwards.

Wow, that was a lot of information! Phew! As ever, keep a beady on that schedule, since it can sometimes magically change, right before your very eyes - without the aid of magicians named David!

Now we have all those important times down, don't forget the donuts, or your trusty paintball gun.  I'm on Team Ashley.  The Paulanator scares me.  I'm glad that she got rebooted this season to become the awesome, accepting and badass Mama C I always hoped was hiding underneath all the fire and brimstone!

'Til next time, Spash fans!

p.s.  If you haven't seen it yet, click here to read Dara Nai's interview with the lovely Gabrielle Christian at AfterEllen. Gossip, spoilers and awesomeness are guaranteed!

South of Nowhere can be put forward for category two (Best Scripted TV Series on Cable/Premium TV with Regular or Recurring Lesbian/Bi Characters [American]), while 3Way can put forward in category seven (Best Fictional Web Series with Lesbian/Bi Characters).

Click here to cast your vote now!

Share your other nominations with is by commenting below.

Thanks to lots and lots of spam comments, you'll have to login or register to comment, but we love hearing from you, so it's worth it!  I'm stuck on some of them, so I'm open to any suggestions!
